Technologies We Use for AI & Machine Learning
Seoul AI workloads almost always require Korean data residency, so we default to AWS ap-northeast-2 in Seoul, Azure Korea Central in Seoul, and Google Cloud asia-northeast3 in Seoul for training and inference. For chaebol and public sector clients who require Korean sovereign cloud, we run on Naver Cloud Platform (NCP), which is the credible domestic alternative to US hyperscalers and the host for HyperCLOVA X. LLM layers route through HyperCLOVA X on NCP, EXAONE 3.5 through LG AI's enterprise endpoints, KoGPT through Kakao, and self-hosted Llama 3, Qwen 2.5, SOLAR, or KORani on H100 or A100 instances when AI Framework Act transparency obligations or PIPA cross-border restrictions rule out hosted alternatives. For Korean tokenisation we use morpheme-aware tokenisers (Mecab-ko, KoNLPy, sentencepiece trained on Korean corpora) rather than naive eojeol splitting, because agglutinative morphology and mixed Hangul-English code-switching destroy retrieval quality otherwise. MLflow, Weights and Biases, and SageMaker handle experiment tracking. SHAP, LIME, and Captum produce explainability artefacts the PIPC and IITP reviewers expect.
