Product Design Services We Offer in Atlanta
Atlanta product design buyers expect more than a Dribbble portfolio. Mailchimp\'s Cathy Edwards-era design system, OneTrust\'s consent and DSAR console, Calendly\'s booking flows, and Home Depot\'s pro app set the standard for what "good" looks like in the metro. Our services match that bar. We deliver user research (moderated and unmoderated, recruited through UserTesting ATL panels and Georgia State labs), information architecture, interaction design, visual identity tied to brand systems, motion specs, and Figma libraries that engineering teams at Cox Automotive, Delta, and Mailchimp-style SaaS startups can hand to React, Swift, and Kotlin builds without translation overhead. Every engagement includes a WCAG 2.2 AA audit, Section 508 conformance for federal and CDC-adjacent work, and a design tokens spec compatible with Style Dictionary and Tokens Studio.
Our Product Design Development Process
We run discovery, design, and validation on ET so Atlanta product, engineering, and brand leads get synchronous Figma reviews and standups, not overnight handoffs. Discovery opens with a stakeholder map (PM, engineering, brand, accessibility, legal) and a heuristic review of the incumbent product against Nielsen Norman and Atlanta-specific competitors. Research sprints recruit panels reflecting metro demographics, including the Black, Latino, and Korean American communities that the CDC and Emory routinely cite as underrepresented in product testing. Design sprints are two weeks, reviewed against a tokens-first system rather than ad-hoc screens. Handoff includes a Figma dev mode walkthrough, a Storybook starter, and an a11y test plan that QA at Cox, Delta, or Home Depot-scale teams can execute against axe-core and VoiceOver without rework.
Research & Discovery
1-2 WeeksWe conduct stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, user surveys, and analytics review to understand your users' needs, pain points, and goals.
Information Architecture
1-2 WeeksWe define the content structure, navigation patterns, and user flows that form the backbone of an intuitive user experience.
Wireframing & Prototyping
2-3 WeeksCreate low and mid-fidelity wireframes for key screens, then build interactive prototypes for stakeholder review and usability testing.
Visual Design
3-4 WeeksApply visual styling, micro-interactions, and animations to create polished, high-fidelity designs that reflect your brand and delight users.
Design Handoff
1 WeekWe prepare developer-ready assets with detailed specifications, export all design tokens, and support your engineering team during implementation.
Technologies We Use for Product Design
Atlanta design stacks are pragmatic. We default to Figma for design and prototyping, FigJam for workshops, Maze and UserTesting for unmoderated research, Lookback for moderated sessions, and Dovetail for synthesis. Design systems land in Figma Libraries with Tokens Studio, exported through Style Dictionary into Tailwind, Chakra, Material, or custom React Native components. Motion specs use Rive or Lottie when engineering wants runtime control. Accessibility tooling includes axe DevTools, Stark, Able, and manual VoiceOver, TalkBack, and NVDA testing. For Section 508 and CDC-adjacent work we run Trusted Tester protocols. Prototypes for hardware-adjacent products (Delta crew tablets, Home Depot in-aisle scanners) ship as Figma Variables with conditional logic so engineering can validate state machines before native build.
