ERP Development Services We Offer in New York
New York ERP engagements come to us in four shapes. The first is a full implementation: SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Infor CloudSuite Fashion or Acumatica, taken from fit-gap through configuration, data migration, integration, SOX control design, user acceptance testing and cutover. The second is extension and custom development on an ERP the client already runs, which is most of our work: ABAP and RAP objects on S/4HANA, SuiteScript and SuiteFlow on NetSuite, X++ and Power Platform on Dynamics 365, and API-first services on SAP BTP or Azure when the right answer is to keep the core clean and build outside it. The third is integration: EDI trading partner onboarding through SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce or Cleo, warehouse management links to Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder or Korber, sales and use tax through Avalara or Vertex, procurement through Coupa or SAP Ariba, and payroll through ADP, UKG or Workday. The fourth is rescue work on a program that stalled, which usually means unreconciled subledgers, master data nobody owns and customizations that block the next upgrade. Every engagement ships a data dictionary, a control matrix mapped to your SOX narratives, and a cutover runbook rehearsed at production volume.
Our ERP Development Development Process
We open with a fit-gap that produces a decision log rather than a wish list. Each gap gets one of four dispositions: change the process, configure the standard product, extend outside the core through an API or side-by-side service, or modify the core, with that last option requiring a named executive owner because it is the choice that makes every future upgrade expensive. Finance leads the design sessions; IT implements them. Alongside the functional design we build a SOX control matrix that names, for every significant process, the automated control in the ERP, the segregation of duties rule enforcing it, the evidence the system produces and the person who reviews it, so your external auditor tests a designed control instead of discovering an accident. Build runs in two-week sprints on Eastern Time, with the sprint review scheduled around your daily close jobs rather than on top of them. Master data gets an owner before it gets a load file: item, customer, vendor and chart of accounts each get a named steward, a cleansing standard and a rejection queue, because unowned master data is the most reliable way to stall a go-live. Extensions, reports, interfaces, conversions and forms live in a single register with an owner and a test case each, so nobody discovers in week twenty that a statutory report was assumed rather than scoped. Before go-live we run a parallel close in the new system against a completed legacy close and reconcile the two account by account, which is the test that tells you whether finance can actually operate the thing. Chandigarh runs the overnight loads and regression suites; Edmonton is two hours behind Eastern and covers the New York business day.
Operations Discovery
2-3 WeeksWe walk the floor and the finance close with your team to document current-state processes, master data quality, integration points and the reporting that decisions actually depend on.
ERP Architecture & Blueprint
2-4 WeeksWe produce the target-state blueprint: module scope, data model, chart of accounts alignment, permission structure, integration architecture and the platform recommendation with costs.
Build & Configuration
10-20 WeeksModule-by-module build and configuration in agile sprints, with a conference-room pilot at the end of each phase so process owners validate against real transactions.
Data Migration & Testing
3-6 WeeksMaster and transactional data migration with reconciliation reports, plus integration testing, load testing and a parallel run against your existing system where the risk warrants it.
Cutover, Training & Hypercare
2-4 WeeksPhased or big-bang cutover with a rehearsed runbook, role-based training for every department, and an on-site or on-call hypercare period through your first month-end close.
Technologies We Use for ERP Development
Platform choice follows company shape rather than vendor preference. SAP S/4HANA, typically under RISE with SAP on Azure, fits multi-entity manufacturers and distributors with real consolidation complexity; we build there in ABAP, the RESTful Application Programming model and CDS views, with side-by-side services on SAP BTP and Fiori for the user interface. Oracle NetSuite fits mid-market multi-subsidiary companies and is extended with SuiteScript 2.1, SuiteFlow and SuiteTalk. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or Business Central fits companies standardized on Entra ID and Microsoft 365, extended in X++ and AL with Power Automate and Power BI on top. Infor CloudSuite Fashion covers apparel style, color and size matrices natively, which matters more than any other feature to a New York wholesaler. Acumatica and Sage Intacct serve construction, professional services and nonprofits. Integration runs on SAP Integration Suite, Azure Integration Services, Boomi, Celigo or Workato, with Kafka for high-volume event flows. Reporting lands in Snowflake or Databricks with dbt models and Power BI or Tableau on top. Where the workload runs follows the platform rather than a house preference: RISE with SAP lands on Azure, NetSuite, Business Central and Sage Intacct are vendor-hosted so the only decision is where your integration and reporting layer sits, and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations follows the Microsoft tenancy you already have. We keep middleware, warehouse and custom extensions in the same region as the ERP so month-end batch latency stays predictable, name a secondary region in the recovery plan and test it, and stand up a Canadian region when a Canadian entity carries a residency clause.
