What We Build

Cloud & DevOps Services We Offer in Dallas

DFW cloud demand splits into telecom and connected-vehicle infrastructure (AT&T, Toyota, Frontier), financial services platforms (JPMorgan Chase Plano, Charles Schwab Westlake, Comerica), travel and aviation (Sabre Southlake GDS, American Airlines Fort Worth HQ), defence aerospace (Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Fort Worth F-35 supply chain, Bell Helicopter Fort Worth, Raytheon Technologies McKinney), and semiconductor EDA (Texas Instruments Dallas, Samsung Austin/Taylor adjacent). Our service mix mirrors that profile. We build GCP us-south1-first multi-region landing zones for low-latency DFW workloads, AWS us-east-1 plus us-east-2 baselines for clients standardised on AWS, Azure Sovereign Cloud and Azure Government for CMMC 2.0 and FedRAMP High federal workloads, and full GitOps pipelines on Terraform plus Atlantis or Spacelift plus ArgoCD. SRE-as-a-service is delivered with documented SLOs, error budgets, and on-call rotations sized to DFW business hours and 24/7 follow-the-sun coverage.

Industry Expertise

Cloud & DevOps for Dallas's Key Industries

DFW Fortune 500 density forces depth across multiple regulated verticals. AT&T (downtown) drives carrier-grade telecom workloads with FCC CPNI obligations under 47 CFR §64.2001 and a long history of NIST SP 800-53 alignment from FirstNet. Toyota Motor North America (Plano) runs connected-vehicle telematics, dealer DMS integration with Reynolds & Reynolds and CDK Global, and ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity engineering for vehicle E/E architecture. JPMorgan Chase Plano (the firm’s largest non-NYC campus, more than 25,000 employees) runs heavy regulated banking workloads with OCC, FDIC, and FFIEC oversight. Charles Schwab (Westlake, relocated 2021) brings SEC Reg SCI, FINRA Rule 4370 BCP, and CAT (Consolidated Audit Trail) obligations. Sabre (Southlake) runs the global airline GDS — PSS migrations are six-figure-per-airline projects with strict latency budgets. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Fort Worth (F-35) demands CMMC 2.0 Level 2 minimum across the entire supply chain. Texas Instruments brings semiconductor EDA cloud workloads (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA) with high-memory burst patterns.

Our Process

Our Cloud & DevOps Development Process

Discovery opens with a workload classification (telecom/connected-vehicle, fintech/banking, GDS/aviation, defence/ITAR, semiconductor EDA, standard SaaS) and a regulatory scoping call covering Texas TDPSA, CUBI, ITAR/EAR if a Lockheed Martin Aeronautics or Bell sub-tier is the client, DFARS 252.204-7012 and CMMC 2.0 Level 2 controls mapped to NIST SP 800-171 r2, FedRAMP Moderate or High if federal civilian or DoD workloads are in scope, and FINRA/SEC Reg SCI/CFTC for Schwab and futures clients. Build sprints are two weeks, reviewed against Terraform plans, Kubernetes manifests, and SLO/SLI definitions written to Google SRE Workbook standards. Deployment ships with runbooks, quarterly DR drills, and a documented chaos engineering practice modelled on Netflix Chaos Monkey but sized to the client risk appetite. North Texas tornado season (April through June) is treated as a real DR scenario, not a tickbox.

Technology

Technologies We Use for Cloud & DevOps

Our DFW primary cloud is Google Cloud us-south1 (Dallas, launched 2022), which is the lowest-latency hyperscaler region for any DFW workload (typically 2 to 5 ms RTT to Dallas and Fort Worth offices versus 20 to 30 ms to us-east-1 in Virginia). For multi-cloud or AWS-standardised clients we run AWS us-east-1 (Virginia) and us-east-2 (Ohio) with us-west-2 (Oregon) for global DR. Azure South Central US (San Antonio) sits 270 mi south and pairs well with North Central US (Iowa). Infrastructure as code is Terraform with Atlantis or Spacelift, Kubernetes is GKE Autopilot or EKS with Karpenter, service mesh is Istio or Linkerd, GitOps is ArgoCD, and observability is Datadog, Grafana Cloud, or a self-hosted Prometheus + Loki + Tempo + Mimir stack. For Lockheed Martin Aeronautics F-35 supply chain and other ITAR/CMMC workloads we deploy to AWS GovCloud (US) or Azure Government with FIPS 140-2 validated cryptography and US-person-only access.

Why Choose Us

Why Dallas Businesses Choose Codazz for Cloud & DevOps

We combine world-class engineering with local market understanding to deliver cloud & devops solutions that drive real business outcomes.

🟢

GCP us-south1 Native

Google Cloud launched the Dallas region in 2022 and it is the only major hyperscaler full region in Texas. Sub-5 ms RTT to DFW offices versus 20 to 30 ms to AWS us-east-1 is decisive for Sabre GDS, Schwab pre-trade, AT&T APIs, and Toyota telematics. We build us-south1-first.

✈️

Sabre & Aviation Depth

Sabre (Southlake) runs the global GDS and American Airlines (Fort Worth) is one of the largest single-airline IT footprints in the world. We build PSS-adjacent integrations with strict latency budgets, ATPCO/OAG/Cirium/IATA NDC familiarity, and PCI DSS v4.0 hardened payment routing.

🛡️

F-35 CMMC 2.0 Ready

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Fort Worth (F-35 prime), Bell Helicopter, Raytheon Technologies McKinney, and BAE Systems Plano flow DFARS 252.204-7012 down to sub-tiers. We deploy to AWS GovCloud or Azure Government with FIPS 140-2 cryptography, US-person-only access, and a signed Technology Control Plan.

🏦

JPMC & Schwab Banking

JPMorgan Chase Plano is the firm’s largest non-NYC campus, and Charles Schwab moved its HQ to Westlake in 2021. Our landing zones ship with OCC, FDIC, FFIEC, and FINRA-aligned controls, FFIEC CAT readiness, SR 11-7 model risk integration, and continuous compliance through AWS Audit Manager or GCP SCC Premium.

📍

Local Expertise

Our team understands the regulatory landscape, business culture, and user expectations specific to your city. We combine global engineering standards with hyper-local market knowledge to build products that resonate with your target audience from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cloud & DevOps in Dallas

Have a question not listed here? Reach out to our team and we will get back to you within 4 hours.

Ask a Question

Google Cloud launched the us-south1 region in Dallas in 2022, and it is currently the only major hyperscaler region with a presence inside the DFW metroplex (AWS Dallas Local Zone exists but is not a full region, and there is no AWS or Azure full region in Texas as of the current planning horizon). Typical end-user RTT from Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Irving, and Fort Worth to us-south1 is 2 to 5 ms, versus 20 to 30 ms to AWS us-east-1 in Northern Virginia or 12 to 18 ms to AWS us-east-2 in Ohio. For latency-sensitive workloads — Sabre GDS extensions, Schwab pre-trade risk, AT&T customer-facing telecom APIs, Toyota connected-vehicle telematics — that latency gap is decisive. For multi-cloud DR we pair us-south1 with us-central1 (Iowa) or AWS us-east-2.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Fort Worth (F-35 prime), Bell Helicopter (Fort Worth), Raytheon Technologies McKinney, and BAE Systems Plano flow DFARS 252.204-7012 down to their sub-tiers, which mandates CMMC 2.0 Level 2 (110 controls mapped to NIST SP 800-171 r2) for any contractor handling Covered Defense Information. We deploy to AWS GovCloud (US) or Azure Government with FIPS 140-2 validated cryptography, document US-person-only access (US citizens or US Permanent Residents on the engineering team), maintain a signed Technology Control Plan and System Security Plan, and prepare for the third-party C3PAO assessment under the CMMC 2.0 rule (32 CFR Part 170) finalised in late 2024. Pre-assessment readiness work typically runs 14 to 22 weeks.

Yes. Sabre Southlake operates the global GDS and many of the world’s airline PSS (Passenger Service System) deployments, and American Airlines (Fort Worth HQ) is one of the largest single-airline IT footprints in the world. Sabre integrations typically use SOAP, JSON over REST, and queue-based messaging with strict latency budgets (sub-300ms p95 for shopping availability requests, sub-100ms for booking class checks). We build GCP us-south1-first or AWS us-east-2-first integrations, ISO 8583-aware payment routing for credit card transactions, and PCI DSS v4.0 hardened payment gateways. Migration from legacy SHARES or Worldspan to modern PSS extensions is multi-quarter work and requires deep familiarity with airline IT vendor ecosystems including ATPCO, OAG, Cirium, and IATA NDC.

Toyota Motor North America (Plano HQ since 2017) runs connected-vehicle telematics, dealer DMS integration with Reynolds & Reynolds and CDK Global, and an extensive Tier 1 supplier network across DFW. Connected-vehicle backends require ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity engineering for vehicle E/E architecture, UN R155 cyber security management system (CSMS) certification for new vehicle types from 2024 onward in Europe and increasingly in North America, and MQTT or AMQP message brokering at fleet scale. We deploy Kafka or AWS IoT Core / GCP Cloud IoT replacement stacks, build telematics ingestion pipelines with high-cardinality time-series storage on InfluxDB or TimescaleDB, and integrate with NHTSA recall and TREAD reporting workflows. Dealer DMS integration is its own specialty — Reynolds RCI, CDK Drive, Dealertrack DMI all have non-trivial onboarding.

JPMorgan Chase Plano is the firm’s largest non-NYC campus with more than 25,000 employees and a substantial share of the firm’s technology workforce. Regulated banking workloads sit under OCC, FDIC, FFIEC, and CFPB oversight, with FFIEC Cybersecurity Assessment Tool (CAT), NIST CSF, and FFIEC IT Examination Handbook setting the operational baseline. We build cloud landing zones with full Service Control Policy enforcement, encryption at rest and in transit, change management aligned with the SR 11-7 and OCC Bulletin 2011-12 model risk management guidance, and continuous compliance through AWS Audit Manager, AWS Config Conformance Packs, or GCP Security Command Center Premium. Vendor management requirements under OCC Bulletin 2013-29 mean every external SaaS dependency goes through a documented third-party risk assessment.

TDPSA took effect July 1, 2024 and applies to controllers and processors of Texas residents’ personal data. Cloud workloads must support the consumer rights flow (access, correct, delete, port, opt out of sale/targeted advertising/profiling) within the 45-day statutory window. We build data inventory automation through AWS Macie, GCP Sensitive Data Protection (formerly Cloud DLP), or Azure Purview, route consumer-rights requests through a documented intake pipeline, and recognise the IAB Global Privacy Control (GPC) universal opt-out signal from January 1, 2025. CUBI biometric obligations sit alongside TDPSA — face geometry, voiceprints, fingerprints, retina, and hand scans collected through a Texas product require informed consent and bounded retention.

Regulatory scope, not cluster count, decides whether a DFW platform build is routine or expensive. A scoped DFW cloud foundation build (multi-account or multi-project landing zone on GCP us-south1, AWS us-east-1/us-east-2, or Azure South Central US, Terraform baseline, Kubernetes cluster, CI/CD pipeline, observability, TDPSA-aligned logging) is a twelve to eighteen week engagement. SRE-as-a-service for a DFW fintech or aviation client is priced against on-call coverage and SLO depth. CMMC 2.0 Level 2 pre-assessment readiness for a Lockheed Martin Aeronautics sub-tier is scoped against current maturity. Sabre or American Airlines PSS-adjacent migrations are scoped per route and run as multi-quarter engagements with strict latency budgets and IATA NDC integration scope.

DFW sits inside the southern edge of Tornado Alley, with peak activity April through June. We treat tornado-driven facility loss as a real DR scenario. Workloads run cross-region replication between GCP us-south1 and us-central1 (Iowa), or between AWS us-east-1 and us-east-2, with RTO and RPO documented and tested at least quarterly. Office and human DR is separately documented — we assume Plano, Frisco, downtown Dallas, or Fort Worth could lose power for 1 to 5 days in a severe weather event and route on-call through Houston, Atlanta, or Edmonton accordingly. For ITAR-controlled workloads the DR pair must also be US GovCloud or Azure Government, which constrains region selection to GovCloud US-East and US-West.
