Rapida · Delivery Service Platform
A high-performance delivery platform with real-time tracking and immersive 3D visualizations.
Chicago generative AI buyers expect BIPA-aware engineering by default. A McDonald's drive-thru voice ordering copilot that captures voiceprints without explicit written consent is a class action waiting to file (the Carpenter v. McDonald's 2021 case is the playbook). A CME Group or Citadel research analyst copilot that does not preserve every prompt and completion under CFTC Rule 1.31 or SEC Rule 17a-4 will not pass internal audit. An Allstate underwriting copilot that uses AI to evaluate Illinois job applicants for hiring also falls under the Illinois AI Video Interview Act, and any model that produces biometric inference (gender, race, emotion) from voice or face risks BIPA per-scan damages. Our services build that awareness into the architecture. We design and build RAG pipelines on AWS Bedrock (Anthropic Claude, Meta Llama, Mistral, Amazon Nova) in us-east-2 (Ohio, the closest commercial region to Chicago with 8 to 12ms round trip), Azure OpenAI in East US 2, fine-tune open-weight models (Llama 3.1 and 3.3, Mistral Large, Qwen 2.5) on client data where hosted frontier models fail residency or audit, ship internal copilots with explicit BIPA consent surfaces where biometric inference is in scope, and stand up evaluation harnesses (LangSmith, Braintrust, Promptfoo, Inspect) that run before every production push.
We run discovery, design, and validation on CT so Chicago product, legal, compliance, and risk teams get synchronous standups, not overnight handoffs. Discovery opens with a BIPA scoping memo identifying every input, retrieval source, model, and output flow that touches biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined by 740 ILCS 14, even when the user-facing surface looks like text-only chat. For derivatives shops at CME Group, Cboe, DRW, Citadel Chicago, Jump Trading, GTS, or Optiver, we map SEC Rule 17a-4 (broker-dealer recordkeeping), CFTC Rule 1.31 (commodity recordkeeping, 5 years), NFA 2-10, FINRA 4511, the SEC proposed predictive data analytics rule (Release No. IA-6353, July 2023, still pending), and the firm's MRM framework typically modelled on Federal Reserve SR 11-7. For insurance at Allstate (Northbrook), State Farm (Bloomington), CNA, Country Financial, and Zurich North America, we map NAIC Model Bulletin 9999 on insurer use of AI, the Illinois Department of Insurance rate-filing requirements, and the Colorado SB21-169 insurance AI fairness regime (Illinois has signaled similar). For QSR and retail (McDonald's, Walgreens, Ulta), we map BIPA and the Illinois AI Video Interview Act. Build sprints are two weeks.
We map the business problem, the users and the constraints, then agree what success looks like in numbers.
Flows, interface design and a clickable prototype, so the hard decisions are settled before engineering starts.
Two-week sprints against a fixed scope. You see working software every fortnight, not a status report.
Load testing, security review, migration and a rollout plan — with someone from the build team on call.
Monitoring, iteration and a support SLA. Most clients keep building with us long after go-live.
Chicago generative AI stacks default to AWS us-east-2 (Ohio) as the closest commercial region with single-digit-millisecond round trip from the Cermak data center corridor (350 East Cermak, 350 South Wacker, Equinix CH1 and CH2, Digital Realty 600 South Federal). We use AWS Bedrock in us-east-2 for Anthropic Claude, Meta Llama, Mistral, and Amazon Nova, with Azure OpenAI in East US 2 as the second tier. For workloads that need ultra-low latency to CME Group or Cboe matching engines we deploy edge inference in colocation at Equinix CH1, CH2, or CH4, but text-generation latency rarely justifies this and we will tell you so. Vector stores route through pgvector on Aurora PostgreSQL, OpenSearch Serverless, Pinecone, or Weaviate. Eval harnesses use LangSmith, Braintrust, Promptfoo, or Inspect (the UK AISI framework). BIPA consent infrastructure (explicit written consent capture, retention schedule publication, deletion APIs) is built once and reused across deployments. Logging routes through AWS CloudTrail, Splunk, or the client's existing SIEM with immutable retention satisfying SEC 17a-4, CFTC 1.31, or HIPAA depending on workload.
