Rapida · Delivery Service Platform
A high-performance delivery platform with real-time tracking and immersive 3D visualizations.
Mobile in this market splits into three jobs with very different definitions of quality. Consumer retention products, which is the Duolingo lineage, live or die on the first session, notification strategy, streak and habit mechanics, offline behavior on a weak connection and store rating trajectory, and they need an experimentation platform before they need more features. Institutional apps for health systems, banks and transit exist to complete a specific task quickly, and the metric is task completion rate for a stressed user rather than time in app, which means fewer screens, aggressive accessibility work and offline tolerance because hospital basements and transit tunnels have no signal. Field and operations apps for industrial, energy and logistics teams run on rugged devices in poor connectivity, need genuine offline-first data models with conflict resolution, and often integrate with hardware over Bluetooth or a device SDK. Across all three we deliver the same underlying engineering: a tested offline data layer, biometric and passcode authentication, certificate pinning where the threat model warrants it, crash-free session tracking, an over-the-air update path for the JavaScript layer where the framework allows it, and an app store release process documented well enough that your team can ship without us.
Discovery establishes the device and network reality before anything else, because assumptions here are usually wrong. We look at your actual analytics or comparable data to determine the real iOS and Android split, the oldest OS versions worth supporting, the share of sessions on low-end Android hardware, and where in the workflow connectivity fails. For a health system that means hospital interiors. For transit it means tunnels and platforms. For field operations it means well pads and rail yards. That determines the offline architecture, which is the single most expensive thing to retrofit. We then scope the compliance surface: HIPAA and a business associate agreement for clinical data, COPPA and age-gating if anyone under thirteen might use it, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board geolocation and identity verification requirements if wagering is involved, and Apple and Google policy review for anything touching health data, financial data, user-generated content or subscriptions. Standup runs at 9:30 AM ET, which is 7:30 AM MT for our Edmonton engineers. Chandigarh runs the overnight regression pass on a physical device lab covering the specific models your users actually carry, so the morning starts with real-device failures rather than simulator confidence. We submit release candidates early in the week so store review resolves inside the same week.
We analyze your target audience, competitors, and business goals to define the app's feature set, technology stack, and go-to-market strategy.
Our designers craft intuitive wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes following platform-specific design guidelines for iOS and Android.
Agile sprint-based development with bi-weekly demos. We integrate APIs, third-party services, analytics, and backend infrastructure.
Comprehensive testing across devices and OS versions including functional, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
We handle App Store and Play Store submissions, configure analytics, set up crash reporting, and provide post-launch monitoring.
For most Pittsburgh clients we build on React Native with Expo, because a single TypeScript codebase across iOS and Android, an over-the-air update channel for JavaScript-layer fixes, and a mature native module ecosystem covers the majority of institutional and consumer requirements at meaningfully lower total cost. We build fully native, Swift with SwiftUI and Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, when the product depends on platform-specific capability: heavy background processing, complex Bluetooth or hardware SDK integration, HealthKit and Health Connect, advanced camera work, or performance profiles where a bridge is genuinely the bottleneck. Offline-first storage runs on WatermelonDB, Realm or SQLite with an explicit synchronization protocol and documented conflict resolution rather than last-write-wins. Authentication runs through the platform biometric APIs with secure enclave and keystore-backed credential storage, never a token in shared preferences. Backends sit in AWS us-east-2 in Ohio or us-east-1 in Northern Virginia, close enough that round-trip latency from a Pittsburgh handset is negligible, with Google Cloud us-east5 in Columbus available for GCP-standard teams. Push runs through APNs and Firebase Cloud Messaging with a server-side preference and quiet-hours model rather than blasting everyone. Testing runs on Maestro or Detox for end-to-end flows plus a physical device matrix. Crash and performance monitoring runs on Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics with release health gating.
