Product Design Services We Offer in Seattle
Seattle buyers expect alignment with Fluent or AWS Console patterns, or a defensible reason not to. Microsoft\'s Fluent web, Fluent UI React, and Fluent UI Blazor token systems define enterprise UX for half the Fortune 500, and Amazon\'s internal Cloudscape design system (open-sourced as Cloudscape Design System) powers AWS Console and external ISV consoles building on AWS Marketplace. Our services match that bar. We deliver moderated and unmoderated research recruited through UserInterviews Seattle panels and UW HCDE participant pools, IA, interaction design, visual systems tied to Fluent, Cloudscape, Material, or custom token sets, motion specs, and Figma libraries that engineering can hand to React, .NET MAUI, Swift, Kotlin, or Xamarin builds. Every engagement includes a WCAG 2.2 AA audit, a Washington MHMDA review for any health-adjacent product, and a Section 508 VPAT for federal-adjacent work.
Our Product Design Development Process
We run discovery, design, and validation on PT so Seattle PMs, engineering leads, security, and legal get synchronous Figma reviews and standups. Discovery opens with a stakeholder map (PM, engineering, brand, accessibility, security, legal) and an MHMDA scoping review for any product touching consumer health data of a Washington resident. For HIPAA workloads we add a Privacy Rule and Security Rule walkthrough. For AWS Marketplace ISV builds we map design controls to AWS Well-Architected and Cloudscape. Design sprints are two weeks. Handoff includes a Figma Dev Mode walkthrough, a Storybook starter, an axe-core CI integration, and a Fluent or Cloudscape compatibility report so engineering teams at Microsoft, Amazon, or Marketplace ISVs can adopt the system without rewriting tokens.
Research & Discovery
1-2 WeeksWe conduct stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, user surveys, and analytics review to understand your users' needs, pain points, and goals.
Information Architecture
1-2 WeeksWe define the content structure, navigation patterns, and user flows that form the backbone of an intuitive user experience.
Wireframing & Prototyping
2-3 WeeksCreate low and mid-fidelity wireframes for key screens, then build interactive prototypes for stakeholder review and usability testing.
Visual Design
3-4 WeeksApply visual styling, micro-interactions, and animations to create polished, high-fidelity designs that reflect your brand and delight users.
Design Handoff
1 WeekWe prepare developer-ready assets with detailed specifications, export all design tokens, and support your engineering team during implementation.
Technologies We Use for Product Design
Seattle stacks default to Figma for design, FigJam for workshops, Maze and UserTesting for unmoderated research, and Lookback or dscout for moderated diary studies common in enterprise Microsoft and Amazon work. Design systems land in Figma Libraries with Tokens Studio, exported through Style Dictionary into Fluent UI tokens, Cloudscape tokens, Tailwind, Material, or custom React Native components. Motion specs use Lottie or Rive. Accessibility includes axe DevTools, Stark, Able, Accessibility Insights for Web (Microsoft\'s open-source tooling), and manual VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, JAWS, and Narrator testing. For enterprise prototypes we use Axure or ProtoPie when Figma alone cannot model multi-pane Console state machines. For Boeing and aerospace-adjacent work we ship to ARP 4754A and DO-178C documentation patterns when scope demands it.
