Technologies We Use for AR & VR Development
German AR and VR workloads usually need EU data residency, so we default to AWS eu-central-1 (Frankfurt), Azure Germany West Central, and OVHcloud Frankfurt for asset pipelines, photogrammetry rendering, and any LLM or computer-vision inference attached to the headset. Headset targets are Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S on the Horizon OS runtime, Apple Vision Pro on visionOS 2 with SwiftUI and RealityKit, HoloLens 2 with Mixed Reality Toolkit 3, and Magic Leap 2 for enterprise. Engines are Unity 6 LTS and Unreal Engine 5.4, with Three.js, Babylon.js, and 8th Wall for WebXR. Photogrammetry runs on RealityCapture and Polycam. For spatial AI we use ONNX Runtime on-device, Hugging Face models hosted on EU-only inference, and Cohere or Aleph Alpha Luminous when a German-sovereign LLM endpoint is required.
